PayPerPost.com Archives

PayPerPost.com has paid me $43 since I’ve started using their service. I think it is an awesome service that everybody should make use of. They have a blog that keeps their users up to date on what’s going on with them. I don’t have it on my bloglines list of blogs to read but I do visit it every once in a while just so I know what’s going on with the place. The money I’ve made so far pays for half of my hosting for the year and that was my goal from the beginning. I really didn’t think that the service would pan out and that it would have folded by now but so far, all is well.

Advertises can use the service and can advertise on blogs by utilizing the PayPerPost service.PayPerPost.com paid for this post.

About 2 months ago, we cancelled our cable service because their rates were going to increase on us about $20 a month, making basic cable over $60 a month. Since cable companies are basically a monopoly, our only option was a satellite dish. We did some research and found that we basically had two choices: Dish Network or DirectTV.

After doing more research, it was very clear to us that Dish Network was a lot better for us because of the channel quality they were offering in the price range we wanted. Dish Network offerred more channels for less than DirectTV.

Contrary to our once-held belief that satellite TV is unreliable and suffers from frequent outtages, it does not. In fact, in the two months we’ve had it, it has not gone out once! We have two DVR and three receivers and we are only paying $66 a month, total! Cable was going to be $65 with one DVR, less channels, plus all of the other taxes.

So there is this opportunity on PayPerPost.com that wants people to promote it. It pays $10 for the post so I figured what the hell, I use it so I’ll take their $10 and help pay for my hosting. As soon as PayPerPost pays me for this post, my hosting will be 1/2 funded for the year! Check it out: http://www.payperpost.com.

I got my first payment from PayPerPost.com. I made a cool $2.50! Yeah baby, I’m rolling big time. Just a few more paid posts and my hosting will have paid for itself. Initially, I was a bit skeptical about the whole getting paid to blog thing but it has worked so far!

You can get paid too! It’s like having blog advertising. WOOT!

Dan Rua has a blog post up regarding the relatively new PayPerPost.com. Dan has done quite a bit of research regarding the adoption of PPP.com by the non-elitist bloggers or hobbyist-bloggers as I like to call them. I know personally that he does engage the so-called hobbyist-bloggers regarding their opinions. From the link tracking I have set up, I can see that Dan reads the initial anti-PPP.com post on Techcrunch and visits at least some of the backtracked links on there. He has registered and discussed the adoption of PPP.com with me via my blog. I share Dan’s opinion and disagree with the elitist-bloggers stance that PPP.com is, in general, a bad idea. Here’s how to make money blogging.

Robert Scoble is a pretty famous blogger. He is a former employee of MS and I’m not sure why he is so famous but it is what it is. The Scobeliezer, won’t use the service, I think. Although the title of his post against PayPerPost.com sort of leaves that point open to some speculation: Why I won’t use PayPerPost (and if I do, I will disclose). Anyway, PayPerPost.com apparently didn’t like the negative attention from either Scoble or Techcrunch and they are willing to pay to prove that point.

Have you ever noticed how boxers [usually] have bad ass upper-bodies? I think it comes from all those punches they throw. I haven’t been working out lately. Instead, I’ve been playing basketball. That isn’t doing much for the way I look. I’m sure I have more endurance and have a healthier heart and all that good stuff but I was in much better shape when I was just lifting weights. I was looking online and found this site with some boxing gloves and other boxing equipment.  They look to have good prices and all that fun stuff.  I’m also looking into boxing gyms in Memphis and in Orlando (in case I get this job that I’m interviewing for).
