What I saw when I rolled over this morning

This blog is not dead!

Usually when I wake up, I have my Eli in bed with me (not by my choice mind you). He just kind of sneaks in there…

I woke up this morning and my Eli wasn’t there, then I heard something by the side of my bed. This is what I saw when I rolled over to take a look.

Pinewood derby car

Here is our naked pinewood derby car. Aaron and I will be working our fannies off filling it with lead and painting it. The pinewood derby is this weekend. At first, I wasn’t excited about it but now I am getting there. I’m really excited to work on the car with Aaron this week.

Speaking with my friend Bernard today via IM, we got on the subject of relationships and how much information we share with our “loved ones”, i.e. our family. While we were on the subject, he said something very profound so I felt the need to capture it and put it here.

Happy Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving here in Orlando. It was just the four of us this year. After we ate Thanksgiving dinner (part 1 anyway), we put up our Christmas tree.

Aaron’s Thanksgiving recital

On Friday, November 20th, Aaron’s was in a Thanksgiving recital at his school. It was pretty short, but extremely cute! Aaron was very excited to see that Eli and I (daddy) came to see him sing with all of his classmates. Here are a couple of videos I shot of his performance.

I use Picasa to manage the pictures on my computer. I have recently started uploading them to picasaweb as well, in light of Google’s offer of 20GB for $5/year. I won’t be renewing my Flickr Pro account because of Google’s offer.

Since I don’t want all of my pictures viewable online but I do want an backup of them, I still upload pictures to my Facebook account. I found a button that you can add to your Picasa toolbar that will upload the picture(s) directly to Facebook.

Give it a try, it’s very nice!
