I got some new responsibilites at work now. I am taking over the renewal process from my old manager since he is leaving. According the Gaby, the renewals are 100% profit and therefore are highly scrutinized by other people higher up in the ladder of the company. He said that my days of working a normal 8 hour day are over and that I would be expected to try and resolve any issues that pop up, regardless of time I am notified. In return for my added tasks, I got a pay raise. It is suppose to be between 5 and 6 percent; not a huge amount but it is good considering that I assumed I would be taking over the task without any increase in pay.
