I’m sitting here at work with nothing to do and it just dawned on me that I haven’t updated my blog in a while! Well softball season is under way here at work. Our first game (last Tuesday, 9.13.05) we won 18-8. We were down 5 – 0 after the first inning and then we poured it on! We had two more games last night, 9.20.05, and we went 1 – 1. Our record for the season so far is 2 – 1. We won the first game last night by a small margin (13 points), final score was 17-3. We lost a great second game, 12 – 10. The team we played has been playing together for 8 years according to them. They were a lot of fun to play because they have been our only competition so far. I was hoping that we’d get to play them again but no luck, only in the playoffs.

I joined 24-Hour fitness last Friday (9.16.05). I’m paying less than I did in Jacksonville at Baileys Powerhouse Gym. I spent this morning looking up different exercises, mostly to refresh my mind on what I used to do in the gym. I set up a tentative workout schedule. I hope I will have some time to make it into the gym and follow my schedule at least 3 days a week. It is a little more difficult now that I’m carpooling with a coworker of mine.

Hmm, other news… My father-in-law is in town for a few days. He’s been busy here! He helped us move the remaining stuff from the storage unit into our house and he has been helping Meri unpack it all while I’ve been at work. He’s been a huge help. My mother-in-law was supposed to come here this past weekend but decided not to since she and Meri aren’t getting along right now.

I talked to my mom for the first time in two weeks this past Sunday (9.18.05). She still has not brought up the issues that she has with Meri and I don’t see an end in sight to that whole debacle! It is such a shitty situation. When she did get off the phone with me, she didn’t seem like she was about to cry so that is a step in the right direction as far as getting over the fact that I am making something of myself and do indeed have a career that I have to move to keep going.
